#20,747 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

This series continues to go downhill. I couldn’t stand these characters. Mostly, they didn’t read as true. Starts with a doctor that has worked hard her whole life to get into a position of power and throws it away on an intern - while at work! Seriously.this author has gotten lazy in developing her characters. I am done with this author.

I have read the series from the begining till now. I am sorry faleena but the last couple of books are lacking. You have your readers waiting patiently for one book in this whole series and I'm just done. Especially after what you have done. It's time to give up.

I love Faleena Hopkins books. I'm a huge fan of the Cocker family and all that entails so follow them religiously. Each of the characters have different personalities and their women are strong and deliberate as they go about their business. All believable and loveable but....Caden and Elizabeth? I couldn't get myself involved! Interesting but not to the point it held my attention. In a word it was boring...sorry. I suppose 3 stars is being rather generous but hey I'm a fan so sue me...love Faleena anyways.

I really enjoyed Caden and Elizabeth's story. The Caden character was just so adorable and Elizabeth was a great compliment to him. The Cocker family portions of the story are always my favorite and there are quite a few sprinkled throughout the story.

Not to sound cocky here, but this book is trash. I set down with a cocktail and some poppycock snack to try and enjoy the book but what I find is some cockamamie tale of a guy that thinks he is cock of the walk as he peacocks around when reality he is just some half cocked predictable character. I love a book that will coldcock you with a surprise twist. Unfortunately, this book falls flatter than a cockroach under foot. The pages of the book do however make good bedding for my cockatiel so it’s not a total loss.

Always good

It was an okay read. You need to read the whole series to understand the whole total connections and why it’s so hard to move away.

After the whole fallout with trying to own a commonly used word of the English language, I got curious. Well... my curiosity is now assuaged. The book lacks a lot of heart. I mean, it has all the craft skills going, but even that won't make an overused, derivative idea shine. In addition to being appalled with the whole issue of the author abusing the United States Patent and Trademark Office system to censor others in what's supposed to be a creative field, I'm left feeling very blah about the way overused tropes and plot devices are regurgitated. For someone trying to copyright part of a language, it sure lacks originality.
