I didn't travel with it, but it had great intricate maps of Argentina that looked useful!

Typical good quality Nat-Geo map. Worth the cost.

Lots of detail.

Has a lot of detail, though I wish the country border was a little better defined. Easily fixed though, I traced over it with a marker.

National geo maps are always the best, the plastic coating on them is helpful when your in the car and you spill a little something on it, alot of foreign county's don't have gps. if they do there are, they are not as in depth as the map

good detailed info for its size. lots of small towns, lakes, and road # shown. medium & large rivers are labeled. a has spot elevations bur could use more. a very good reference map, and seems better than the European produced similar unit.

I love these maps. This map folds well and is easy to read. I think it will last over time.

As with most National Geographic topographic maps, this is a very good resource identifying cities, beaches, monuments, national parks, World Heritage sites, waterfalls, ski areas, of spas in the target country. Highly recommended.

Great review book for last minute studying

The book has a number of factual errors, which I began to notice gradually as I took notes. For instance, it gives the date for the Battle at Waterloo as 1813.In addition to significant factual errors, the book has some fairly clear biases that should not be present.I now need to go back and find and check any notes that came from this material to see if they are accurate. Since my notes are mixed with material from other sources, it will take a long time to figure out what kind of incorrect stuff I got from this book.I wish I had gotten an accurate book to start with.

Actually I was pleasantly surprised by this book as it was a quick cheap buy just for something to read. Although I enjoy mysteries and detective novels I'm not usually a fan of thrillers. However, this was an easy read and well written. The author managed to keep up the level of excitement and at the same time give good descriptions of the setting.I will add that I rarely give 4 or 5 star reviews unlike too many Amazon readers I reserve these scores for excellent books so a three star review from me, is exactly that I enjoyed the book and the price is excellent. I will read another book by this author.

This is a very well written, scary, suspenseful story which totally grabbed me. Here in this story, Adam and his wife, Ella, have been torn apart about the death of their son Jacob. Jacob's twin brother, Henry, is estranged as he is feeling guilty of causing the accident. Now, they all need to leave their home where the accident occurred. They were invited to live in an old house which had a reputation of being haunted. Just how haunting will it be? This novel totally grabbed me. There are many twists and secrets which will keep you guessing and intrigued to the very end.

Should be 2 1/2 stars, but the descriptions were vivid and understandable. Writer (who writes with pen and paper in the computer age), accidentally causes the death of one of his twins, or imagines he did. Surviving twin on a guilt trip, writer on guilt trip, wife on guilt trip. Out of the blue they "win" the right to live in an old, beautiful, slightly run down mansion...under certain conditions. Writer and kid 'have to' live there. Wife not so much. Of course there is no cel service. Crazy old lady who owns the house lives on the property in a separate cottage. She can't occupy the house because "Mother" lives there, family members have disappeared from there, but if she croaks they get to keep the house if they didn't violate any of the certain conditions. The whole house is a warren of secret passages but everyone runs around with candelabras because, even though it's the computer age, no one has a flashlight, or a mobile with a flashlight, or a lantern. Are local Goth nut cases breaking in the house or is it ghosts? They also seem to be fond of running out into the dark along the cliffs. Throw in a know-it-all professor, reappearing dead people, a possibly murderous offspring...hey, there's even a dog. What more could you want? A sequel....noooooo!

I really had no idea how things were going to end up at the end of this book! There were moments I physically tensed up because I was so caught up with what was going on. The story was, for me anyway, something rather different than what I'm normally used to, but I really enjoyed it. There were a few places where the proof reader needed to make corrections in the Kindle version- but those instances were very few compared to many other books I have read. It's a good book with a different kind of mystery (mysteries) going on.

This was quite a good story, so different. It makes you think did this really happen or was it all something that Adam did just to get his story written? The details make for a good story, but it does leave you with questions about who really did kill Faith, was it Henry and Bella? Did Penny really have the DNA from Fenton House ? Will there be a follow up story or will we never know? Could have been just a book he was writing.

Rating: 4.5 stars. Perhaps it's because I've been a dark mood as of late, but I was immediately caught up in the brooding atmosphere created by Ben Cheetham. To his credit, the story didn't let me go until I finished the book in just two late night sessions.Rather than speak to, and ultimately give away, any details I will simply recommend 'Don't Look Back' to anyone who enjoys a tense and twisting tale and is not afraid of the darkness of the human soul and mind where the real haunting takes place. I didn't give the full five stars only because of a few minor editorial issues and my own desire, unfulfilled as it might have been, to have a more drawn out and descriptive ending.

A family tragedy gives a husband, wife and young son a chance at a new, healing life when they are offered an old mansion to live in for free. What follows, is a family trying to heal their personal lives while mysterious sounds, secret passageways and odd villagers attempt to scare them away. A good story to keep you reading to the very end to find out what "haunts" the old house. Well worth the read.

Very good reading. The book I bought on my Kindle and had a hard time putting it down. I at first thought I had the person causing all the problems figured out, but soon realized it was someone else or maybe not a person at all. Very interesting read. Will read more of his books.

They encourage qualities such as quiet, listening, observation, open-heartedness, fun, simplicity, imagination, dreaming, learning to think for yourself, and best of all, kindness and compassion. These qualities are lacking in American society, so this book is an excellent way to introduce children to them and reinforce these concepts. Tao literally means "the way" in Chinese. Taoism is a philosophy that has to do with aligning with nature and going with the flow of the universe. The concepts of Taoism can be quite complex, but this book makes them simple and clear. They talk about mysteries, beauty, magic, and nature. Joan Hunter Iovino's illustrations are whimsical. The colors are rich and luminous. They make a perfect accompaniment for the beautiful words. I wish this book had been in my childhood library. I am going to send a copy right away to my great nieces and nephews and my godson's daughters. And I'll keep one for myself when I need a reset.

It is the second in the "History Lives" series by Mindy and Brandon Withrow and covers the "Chronicles of the Medieval Church."The majority of chapters present part of the story behind an important figure in the early church, written with the action, dialogue, and description of a good novel. Interspersed between these chapters are a few short, strictly nonfiction chapters, explaining such things as how the pope came to be, how Islam affected Christian history, and the councils of the Medieval church.The novelized chapters cover Gregory the Great, Boniface, Charlemagne, Constantine and Methodius, Vladmir, Anselm of Canterbury, Bernard of Clairvaux, Francis of Assisi, Thomas Aquinas, Catherine of Sienna, John Wyclif, and John Haus.Although a book covering Christianity during this time period must focus on the Catholic church (because there was no other church), the authors stress: "Modern Protestants disagree with quite a few medieval ideas, but that does not mean that the men and women of the Middle Ages were always wrong or that they did not love God's Word. In fact, despite their differences, later Protestants admired many medieval thinkers...Like Christians of all eras, they made both positive and negative contributions to the church."Although Medieval Christians are perhaps best known for the Crusades, they also translated the Bible into several languages for the first time, including English. Monks and Mystics gives us the best of both worlds by giving us historic fact combined with good story telling.What I Dislike: My only gripe with this book is its treatment of the Crusades. Unfortunately, many people have forgotten the fact that Muslim armies invaded Europe, hoping to make them Islamic lands, and Monks and Mystics doesn't seek to remind anyone of this. It almost seems as though the Withrows wish to make the Crusades apolitical and non-religious. This is not to say Europeans were without fault during the many Crusades, or that some endorsed the Crusades for political reasons or personal gain. However, there were understandable reasons for Europeans to fight many of the Crusades, also. This book, and its companion, Peril and Peace, is a well-written collection of narratives about important Christians. The stories are descriptive and interesting, and give you a real sense of "being there". I never studied church history as a child, and I enjoy reading these stories aloud to my 10yo son as we study history. I highly recommend this book to other homeschoolers, parents who want to help their kids learn about church history, and even adults who want an enjoyable introduction to the lives of important Christians of the past. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

I loved the first chapter of this saga. The characters were real sexy and passionate. The action crisp and decisive. Much is the same in this volume. It is like dc comics merging of the world's , except it can be very confusing. Still, most of the action is clear, the characters strong , and loving and sexy. Just weird . This book is the sequel of Lost Pirates. I never got the chance to read the first one, but this book has a recap which explained the story so far. I enjoyed pretty much of the book. I liked the action, the characters, and the setting. On my con side, there are some parts, which I thought is kind of cheesy. Frank getting a new girl is rushed, and she didn't care if he has other girls. I guess where she comes from, it doesn't matter. But the book did great and I hope the next one will do well too.

The author did a awesome job on sucking me into this book. This is my favorite series that he writes the plot was fast paced and interesting with some good action scenes.

Good book I can't wait to read the next book in the series I would recommend this book to anyone
