I am in the process of collecting memorabilia of the Obama era and this book was an awesome find. The cover is beautiful and the contents and photographs great. This is a gift, pictures are lovely. I am thinking about getting one for myself 😂

Despite all the rave reviews of this book I found it to be quite disappointing and not at all what I expected or wanted. It covered alot on the people coming to the inaugural weekend and event but not enough on the president and his family. Lots of photos of flag wavers and crowds just not enough focus on the Obamas per se - the inauguration and all their events. The book is uninspiring and simply boring. Other than that the photos are nice and the book in general (minus the content) is layed out well. In addition my book arrived damaged and crushed with a marred up cover. Total bum deal all around.

I was anticipating excellent photographs, and they well may be excellent photos; but the reproduction is inferior. I would recommend getting the "Barack Obama: The Official Inaugural Book" to have the quality historical events require!. Barack Obama: The Official Inaugural Book You will find this a superior book.

Excellent book! If the paper cover is worn you can remove it and just use the hard cover, which is just as glossy. Great buy!

This book is a great overview of the inauguration. There were so many images from tv that there was no way to capture but this book did it all. I was especially pleased to see a good picture of Mrs. Obama's inauguration gown without waiting for the Smithsonian exhibition. Newspapers photos will fade. This book will give you memories to share with grandchildren for quite some time.

This Book deals with the area of power system harmonics studies. Unlike most other harmonic studies books the book have a detailed harmonic studies for actual multi-bus power system. This includes filter design and selection, harmonic injection, effect of system equipment rating change on the harmonics, and many other topics. The book also covered power system components modeling for harmonic studies. The main book shortcoming is that it's doesn't cover frequency dependent models, and most of the models used in the studies are pure impedance based models. But in general it's a very good book for introduction to power system harmonics.

From my point of view of practising engineer Dr. Wakilleh covers the subject of harmonics in very straightforward manner mainly the subject of harmonic filter design. It help me a lot.

This background explains the title of the book.Though I enjoyed John Paton's autobiography, I appreciated Robertson's "matter-of-factness" and humor that help to make the characters more human and relatable. For example, he describes a practical joke he and his wife play on John Paton and his matchmaking efforts among the natives.I appreciate the early missionaries of the New Hebrides for the way in which they break the stereotypes that people often associate with missionaries of Victorian times. H. A. Robertson stated that he and his wife gladly let the Erromangans continue in the cultural traditions that were NOT contrary to Scripture, and they considered many Erromangans their closest friends.One of the best aspects of this book are the extensive cultural and historical notes that the editor added. I wish I had these notes when reading John G. Paton: Missionary to the New Hebrides and Lomai of Lenakel: A Hero of the New Hebrides. A Fresh Chapter in the Triumph of the Gospel..
