An interesting book for those who want to know a little more about what was in confrontation in WW2

Well Done. About what I expected.

The book arrived in great condition.This is a new publication, but I think more research need s to be done on identifying the vehicles. I think this is a good desk reference for a beginner. It doesn't spend a lot of time/space per subject. Offers a good color depiction of the subject, and how and when they were used. For the more experienced historians or model makers, there is too little in the way of photo reference.

This book is a great identification guide for tanks and armored cars of the World War II era. This shows details of the organization between tank battalions and the armies of the Allied forces. This book shows the fronts of Poland, North Africa, Italy, France, and the Rhine. This book may not be interesting to people who do not like the military. I find this book is perfect for historians and people who like tanks and military tactics.

The russians and the germans had the best armoured vehicles in WW11. But the Sherman tank made up for its shortcomings in quantity. They could not stand up the german tanks one on one, but when they attacked in force, they could achieve success. The russian tanks were every bit as good as the german machines. The british tanks did not stand up well against the german machines either. The armour on the american and british tanks did fare very well against the german tanks main guns. The russians on the other hand created tanks that stood up well to the german guns. JRV

If the Victorian headdress and great smile don’t get you, the subtitle The autobiography of a fictional Victorian know-it-all might be enough to clinch the sale.There is a lot of humor in this novel. Cuevas, acting as both Actual Rebecca and “I” is the narrator who occasionally makes direct humorous asides to the reader. As for the humor; it is good, understated, and threatens to conceal the fact that there are very good, solid, philosophical points made. Many would argue that the world would be a better place if these faith-based humanitarian ideals were more operational.Mother Rebecca is wise and knows many things, perhaps everything. It is logical that she would know everything. As was stated many times, Mother Rebecca is older than dirt. Age and wisdom correlate directly, right? From various sections of the novel, we know that Actual Rebecca, “I,” the author, created Mother from a variety of sources during her “actual” growing up. She could not channel Mother Rebecca, a wise woman offering advice on things such as marriage until she had more of an understanding of marriage. By the time Actual Rebecca was fifty plus years old, she was able to give such advice plus tech support. Taking lessons provided by Aunt Sophronia and a nanny, Mrs. Happy, Actual Rebecca was able to merge wisdom, assembly instructions, and computer user instructions.In order to be an expert in all things, Mother Rebecca needed life experiences. Terrible at math, she was not sure how many husbands she had throughout her life, but she could remember the notable ones. She had a son, later known as Mr. Knit-It-All, with her first husband, Mr. Fix-It-All-Up. She had one philosophy of marriage: “The secret to a happy marriage is separate houses.” (p.35). Her husband had a complementary but differently phrased philosophy: “The reason to get married is to have a witness to your life.” (p.35). Mother Rebecca’s third, forty-seventh, or fifty-second husband (she really hates math) was Head Honcho.Mother Rebecca loved greenhouses. Inside these normally physically visible constructions, Mother Rebecca planted seeds of abstract feelings and experiences, such as the seed of loss. She collected these seeds from the experiences of Actual Rebecca (AR) as AR went on her life’s journey up to the age of fifty when AR decided to make life changes. Up to that time AR had experienced almost nothing but loss. She had lost her mother, two children during childbirth, and a husband who she was still friends with. Her son, Youthful One, had left home and moved to the Big City. AR decided to go on adventures. At that point, AR and Mother Rebecca (MR) became one. It was AR as Mother Rebecca who married Head Honcho. Whichever husband he was, there was to be a divorce. Rebecca had married into a tribe that would not accept her and the pair reluctantly agreed to a divorce so Head Honcho could fulfill his predestined tribal duties. And this is where the novel takes a new direction. From how Mother Rebecca came into being we enter the world of “What can Mother Rebecca do for you today?”The answer is that she can give advice on surviving life. As Cuevas tells us, Rebecca’s life is all about helping others. “If Mother Rebecca were working full time at a job, or raising more children, or tending to grandchildren, she would not have time to write blogs and ebooks and lesson plans for you. She would not have a way to listen to you and hear your issues and concerns. Her heart would be full of others, and the details of everyday life.” (p. 74).At this point, the novel has some similarities to Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. The novel has 111 pages total and the entertaining build up to what I consider the philosophical point has taken seventy-four pages. It can be inspiring. Mother Rebecca will even solve the mystery of the two-sided triangle. (p. 78).This novel is available on Amazon for USD 0.99. I gave it five stars for its unique writing style and understated, subtle humor.

Most disappointed. The author spends too much time trying to be precious and not enough time producing significant content. Do not waste your time.

This book starts out seeming to promise a reworking of a Victorian Age book on how to keep a home and navigate marriage, but it frustratingly never seems to get to any nitty-gritty, practical advice. Instead it takes us on a journey of the author's life explained through metaphor and fairy tale. A few times I was ready to give up reading it, but something about the ripe and generous character of Actual Rebecca, (the author herself), kept me turning the virtual pages.While some of the metaphors made me want to scream, especially the part about her marriage to the Head Honcho and the lost island of Nirvania. I kept trying to figure out what real situation in her life this referred to. I longed for her to give us a solid idea to decipher this puzzle. After much thought, I came to the conclusion that perhaps she married a Palestinian, assuming she is Jewish. That would fit some of the hints she drops. Ultimately, though, it hardly matters because after this episode, the book turns into a very different beast.Ultimately it is a book about the oneness of us all, the universality of all religions and philosophies, especially the fact that they all lead us to the same place - the Golden Rule. Although this was not at all what I had expected the book to be about, I found that I not only agreed with what she was saying about life, love and our purpose on earth but also that I felt that she was speaking my own words. This seemingly fanciful book packs a lot of hard-earned wisdom and the author does indeed make suggestions on how to fix things such as being stuck in a rut, pain from loss and how to use it as a springboard toward growth and service to others.She actually made me cry when she spoke about how she still felt the love of her mother who died when she was just seven years old. Anyone who has lost someone close will feel the same. If you are ready to take a ride through a very intelligent and deep-thinking woman's mind, and be challenged to confront your own self, this is a short, powerful book you should read.

The book was fun, quirky, and a quick read during holiday travel.Note: I also had a pre-publication copy but enjoyed the book and purchased a copy for myself.Mother Rebecca provides an unusual twist to modern life infusing wisdom from two different time periods. The wordplay is engaging and the topics apply to most anyone attempting to balance the challenges of 21st century living.

Though I got distracted by its meanderings in places, it was probably intended by the author. Witty and entertaining.

The quality of each chapter, however, is inconsistent. Some chapters are well detailed in the technical approach, whereas others just say "take out the graft and fix it." If you have the luxury of time, I think it's a good starting point - but Current Therapy is going to be more detailed (although that book, too, has some weak chapters).If you're not preparing for the boards, I think it's a perfect book for vascular residents and general surgery residents.

Have you ever had a random idea pop into your head? Then everything falls into position as if you planned it?That is how this book was written. I was at a retreat finishing a meditation when all of these ideas just rushed into my head. I pretty much wrote the entire book in the 10 minutes after the meditation.Then I sat on the idea for 3 years and drew the illustrations when I had some time to just reflect and draw. I had no clue how to publish or what I was going to do with my idea but I knew I needed to get my book out there even if it was just a book I created for the kids in my class. That is when my life really aligned. I met Laurie Wright! She was running an information night on how to publish on Amazon, I signed up last minute, dragged my daughter along (single mom, doing the best I could) and went. I learned pretty much everything I needed to do to get my book published and out to the world in a 3 hour workshop. I am so very grateful that everything in my journey to become an author has aligned at just the right time.

I have read so many books about animals, dogs are a real favorite for me and there are many wonderful books about dogs. I had recently read a book by another vet and did not find it all that interesting, thought it was written by a professional for other professionals instead of a book for pet lovers. Knowing all that I almost did not read Jeff Wells book thinking it was probably very much the same. I am so glad I went ahead and read the book as it was very different. There was much to be learned in the book about the medical of animals but Mr. Wells also made the reading a lot of fun while learning about the pets and their antics.Anyone who has owed a pet knows how wonderful they are and how much they can add to your life. My husband and I got a late start when it comes to pet ownership. We got our first two dogs, a brother and sister from the same Maltese litter. They were about 11 weeks old when we brought them home. We started out even, none of us having experience but we quickly got acquainted. It was love at first sight. Myron & Babydoll were with us for many years. Myron crossed the Rainbow Bridge when he was ten and Babydoll when she was eleven. Our years with them are still looked at as wonderful and though they have been gone now for about five years we miss them every day.Now we have Taz our little three year old Maltese. He was six months old when we got him. He is very different from our other little loves. I would say that his six months before moving in with us were not good ones and that he was abused and not well cared for. It has left a mark on him but after almost three years he has come to know that he is loved and cared for and he is safe with us.If I had a wish for pets here in the USA and other places it would be that every animal would have a Forever Home and would always be cared for. Donations to local organizations in your area has got to be a win-win for all. If you cannot donate your time to help with the care of homeless animals then perhaps your donations will be there for solid groups that are both non-kill as well as spaying and neutering which if done , will help with the over population and homelessness of animals.Jeff Wells, DVM wrote an interesting and informative book about animal care, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a book about pets.

I am in love with this book. Being a third year vet student this book was just what I needed. It was nice reading about the adventures of a new grad. It was nice to hear someone say: Not everything is going to go perfectly, they don't teach you everything in school and EVERYTHING WILL BE OK! All vet students should read this book and even if you aren't a vet student, animal lovers will love this book as well. It was funny, heartwarming and all around a great and entertaining read.

A wonderful storyteller and a Veterinarian to boot...my favourite combination for a good story.This book kept me engaged through all the pages. I enjoyed all the characters, some scary and some spectacular. A good book to read to relax and who doesn't love animal stories?

I read this book and immediately followed it with Dr. Well's second book. He is a very good writer and tells wonderful short essays about his adventures as a large and small animal veterinarian. A wonderful person who has shared a wonderful life with his readers. You will get to feel as if you know him and his patients. Great read.

This was a very engaging book, very well written. The tales were interesting and at times downright funny. Highly recommend this book!

I love the stories in these books. The author manages to see the humor in his veterinarian practices and takes in stride the things that can (and do) go wrong since he's dealing with animals! I am biased though - I love animals and their antics! I wish I could find a veterinarian like him (that cares so much about the animals while keeping in mind their human owners)!

Well written easy read. Take a trip into animal healing in Colorado Enjoy riding shotgun with the doc. Read on.

Mister Kong, thank you for using your special mind powers to create such a great book series. I just got back from a rather slow deployment and let me tell you. I read this series front to back at least 4 times. Plus I have been using your works as an example of LITRPG. I was using play to live, and while I to like the first few books I feel like some of the book is being lost in translation. But then I found your works and was very pleased indeed. You are pushing out books at a pronominal pace and each book have gotten better then the last. Thank you for all your hard work and I can't wait to read Raiders.

But not for the reason you might think.When he first started this series I thought his character was overpowered and to lucky by far.As his new books came out his writing improved, and the world he was building became more fleshed out.I hate this author for the simple fact that I have to wait for more.Why oh why can't I just drink his brain and have it all?I want more now!Great job and keep pumping out more of this story.May you have a loooong life so we can get to enjoy the journey you have taken us all on.

I think I can reliably say I have an addiction to litrpg. This series by far my favorite. It's the kind of drug I would gladly walk into a dark alley full of people with questionable morals for. If you're reading this review, you have either never heard of the series or you are just making sure Aleron isn't mailing it in and coasting on his success. Rest assured he is still in top form. If you haven't started the series yet I'd like to tell you about some less addicting sources of entertainment, namely heroin. Considering I read this book in two days the heroin will probably last a comparable amount of time and will be exponentially easier to get.I can't give blowskies to truckers behind the McDonald's for another hit of The Land... Or can I?

Another good book, though this one felt like more of a filler i guess. It goes pretty in depth about the future of the village and the technology system of building a village. This is also the second book that the title made no sense, the swarm ( which i assume is the eaters that everyone is afraid about) is talked bout for like 2 pages at the end of the book but are never seen. Also the main character is apparently bi-sexual though its kinda just mentioned in passing so if that bothers you i guess skip that page.

I am really enjoying this series so far and have read the first five books in the course of one week. Waiting for the next to come out.I might offer some suggestions to the author, if he is reading the comments:1. From a litRPG perspective - or this style of gaming in general - your character is progressing. While you're doing a good job focusing on the meaningful change to your character when it comes to strength, agility, and constitution and how they transform your character(s), you're not adjusting in the same way for magical attributes and charisma. Why, for example, is your character almost as immature in Book V as he was in Book I?2. Book V spent a massive amount of time on stat and skill progression compared to the earlier books. The first four had much more meat to them. I found that book V allowed me to skip entire pages without losing track of the story. It impacts the pace so much that when "story" does happen, it has less of an impact. The cause of this was the inclusion of the talent system introduced through his profession, core buildings, and the scholar's hut - adding a level of complexity to the narratives that don't really drive the story forward.3. I'm starting to lose track of the characters because you have so many. A smithy, two alchemists, two herbalists, a healer, a captain of the guard, another high-ranking guard member, two scribes, a shipwright, a builder, a magical assistant, a physical assistant, a slew of allies, a diplomat, two animal tamers, a sex interest, a pixie queen, a snake, and a familiar all jumbled together in minimal story that moves very fast. I'm sure I've missed a few (EDIT: Sion, I missed Sion). The cat is out of the bag now and you will have to wrangle it in a little. Perhaps book VI will deliver by thinning out the herd some. Because now it's getting to the point where it's hard to figure out why we care about certain characters and what they mean to the protagonist. Hell, I'm sure that if some of the characters were to die or abandon the protagonist, I would feel relief at the prospect of more meaningful non-protagonist development - rather than sorrow at the loss of a beloved ally to him.SPOILERS:4. You're hanging up too many story lines to dry. Currently, there are approximately ten to fifteen meaningful plot points that are unresolved and unless you plan to write this series forever, many of them will remain unresolved.Rescuing remaining slavesDealing with the government of YvesAssassin's guild hit jobGoblin army blood oathDeadly swarmKobold kingdomDwarven allianceRidding forest of dark magic/building a portalFinishing village powersLeveling up villageImpact of pixie raceThe grand antagonist in the extra-dimensional setting in chapter 1Grand quest to compile Kobold coinsI'm certain I've missed some. This is quite a few stories, many of which seem to exist simply because you needed to fill space to develop the Richter/Alma bond (Lich knight in book V) or the Pixie/Sprite union which seemed to really have no purpose to it. Some of these have also remained unresolved since Book I.Anyhow. I was hoping to read Book V based on the title "Swarm", but we really didn't learn a whole lot about the swarm story line.I will continue to read simply because, despite my above feedback, I am still enjoying what you are publishing.

I almost NEVER write amazon reviews but I feel like I need to write a review for every book in this series. The story and characters are fantastic and I haven't enjoyed a book series this fully since Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. I'm very nervous for the Dark Tower movie but yet I digress.The fifth book of a six book (and growing!) series, Richter starts fully exploring the making of his village and fortunately has plenty of great characters to help him get started. Think "A Dark Room" on a speedball. Richter is leveling up and gaining more XP, the monsters are getting more powerful and his list of allies grows. What's not to love about this?? The leveling of the characters, the battles against monsters, some of them purely evil, and good (so far) is triumphing. Please do yourself a favor and stay the path, there's yet more to be excited about in this book.Gnomes rule!
